Although the work of Levi&Toonk targets elementary, gifted children of color, investing in one’s creativity and dreams is a lifelong pursuit. Yet there are life’s burdens and institutional boundaries which prohibit adults from achieving what may seem impossible. Even when we are so quick to empower our children, we often forget that we still have our own talents and gifts to offer the world. If you know you need a boost of confidence to manifest your next move, join our session during Black Children’s Book Week.

If you have ever wanted to write a children’s book but feel limited by your financial circumstances and/or educational background, this session is for you! If you have ever dreamt a dream but feel stifled by your geographic location, this session is for you, too! Hear from our panel of authors, who live in the Dallas metroplex, as they share advice and tips from their journey. This will mostly be an audience-led panel, so we are excited to hear your questions! The ultimate hope is that you will leave with courage and a few resources to create more books, media, and products which celebrate the full range of our children.
